In quarantine…

Like most of the world, our house is in safe mode for the duration of the Covid 19 pandemic. However, I have an essential job which requires me to travel every day to the Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Price Utah. We are still getting injured Wildlife and someone has to transport them which is my job.

I’m still quilting in the time I have between transports. I hope to share the latest quilt that I picked up from my quilting friend in Stansbury, Utah. She’s fabulous and I love her quilt designs. Definitely a show quality quilt but it was made for my friend, Delores Freestone, who is fighting end stage cancer. We have known each other for 28 years! We raised our children who are great friends and watched them become parents. Now they are taking care of her. She is the one who got me into birding and rescue. I owe her a great sense of gratitude for the way my life has been enriched. I hope she is around for many more birding trips. We have a wonderful time together and we laugh about everything. Good friends are hard to find and they are the ones who see you through the bad and the good times of life.

Until the storm is over, may you have good health and stay safe at home. We are all in this together!
